Orange Cream Cake embodies the taste of summer! Remember the days when you went to your local diner (or diner themed restaurant) to get your orange soda? We've incorporated this delicacy into an orange buttercream treat! Summer pairs perfectly with certain flavors and dishes, doesn't it? Lovely snacks like the orange buttercream cake! These cupcakes are essentially orange cream soda, compressed into a small cake, and sprinkled with orange cake sprinkles. They're sure to be a hit at your next cookout!


1. Recipe of funfetti sprinkles: Ingredients and Utensils for Orange Cream Cupcakes


Ingredients: For the batter/cake: 2 1/2 cups of flour normally used, 1 extra tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 3/4 tsp salt, 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature, 1 cup sugar, white granules, 2 eggs, room temperature, 2 tablespoons orange zest, finely grated, 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed or store-bought orange juice, 1 1/2 teaspoons orange extract, 1.5 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, 1 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature, and some orange sprinkles for cakes of choice for a final sprinkle on the cake.


For the frosting: 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature, 6 to 8 cups powdered sugar, 2 to 3 tablespoons milk or heavy cream, 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract.


Utensils and other items: cupcake liners, cake pans, whisks, bowls, toothpicks.


2. Recipe of funfetti sprinkles: Making Orange Cream Cake


For the batter/cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and fill pans with cupcake liners. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. shelved. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add the orange and vanilla extract, orange juice and zest and stir to combine. For the decorations of funfetti sprinkles: As we suggest, go for the orange sprinkles or candies, or white jimmies sprinkles or silver and gold candies are also perfect for this orange cupcake. If you want the cupcakes to be even cuter, you can also choose carrot funfetti sprinkles.
